So Demi Lovato's new album came out this week, as I'm sure most of you are aware. I gave the album a listen through, as I do quite enjoy Demi's music.
My top 5 songs from Demi are:
1. Warrior - a beautiful ballad with a pretty piano melody and powerful lyrics
2. Made in the USA - catchy, fun to sing along to, great rhythm - I'm not surprised that it's going to be the next single
3. Without the Love - has such a catchy pre-chorus and chorus, can't stop singing it!
4. Neon Lights - a really fun song with a great beat (makes for a great workout song)
5. Heart Attack - because who doesn't love to belt out "you make me gllloooooOOOOWW"
Next, the 90210 finale was this past week *sad face* and I fell in love with the OneRepublic song, "I Lived" chosen to close the final episode. It's a positive and uplifting song that's just easy to listen to. This song is on OneRepublic's new album titled "Native".
Along with I Lived, I have some other favourites from the album:
Something I Need - great chorus with a catchy beat
Counting Stars - has such an eclectic mix of instruments, giving it a unique sound - I love the song's intro and outro too!
Life In Color - I first heard this song quite some time ago in a Ralph Lauren commercial and couldn't get the chorus out of my head! I'm so glad this song is on the album for full listening pleasure
The next song I've been jammin' to lately I came across on Songza - Figure 8 by Ellie Goulding. I already had a few songs from her Halcyon album but I somehow missed out on the greatness that is Figure 8. A few of my other favourites from this album include: Anything Could Happen, I Know You Care, and Hanging On. Just great Ellie Goulding wonderfulness!
For the country lovers out there, I have 2 songs from The Band Perry's new album, "Pioneer", that I'm really liking - Done and Forever Mine Nevermind. Both songs are just so fun and sassy!
So give those a listen if you want to bring out your inner country twaaannggg!
To round off today's Music On My Mind post, a couple quick singles that I'm sure you've all heard of already but I feel the need to mention anyways. I am OBSESSED with Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey and Come & Get It by Selena Gomez. If you haven't listened to either of these songs yet - where have you been!? (lol just kidding, but not really).
Also, give Justin Timberlake's album, The 20/20 Experience, a listen if you're looking for some killer music! The entire album is just flawless. Lastly, I can't wait to hear Miley's new single soon! It's been great to hear her featured on will.i.am and Snoop Lion's latest tracks (also loving those!)
