Buyer Beware: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen

I've decided to start a series for disappointing and/or bad quality products. As you can tell from the title of this post, this series is called 'Buyer Beware'. Since I conduct thorough research before purchasing most products, there hopefully won't be too many Buyer Beware posts to be featured. However, this Revlon eyeliner was packaged as a bonus product with my beloved Revlon Custom Eyes mascara. So, I guess I got this product for free; which I'm happy about because I wouldn't even pay $1 for this eye pen...

I didn't have any expectations of this product because I hadn't heard any reviews. Initially, the pen looked appealing when I took it out of the package, due to it's fine tip. However, the pigmentation is ridiculously inconsistent, making it impossible to work with and produce a nice fine line. As you can see from my crazy swatches/scribbles photographed below, the eye pen just produces a mess. Sometimes a fine black line comes out without any pressure and other times you get next to nothing by pressing lightly, forcing you to press hard thus producing a thicker line/mess. Anyways, I'm sure you guys get the idea... I would not recommend this eye pen to anyone!

Have you had disappointing/ impossible to use eyeliners? Let me know in the comments below!
